Is It Time To Renew Your Medical License?
In October, the Florida Board of Medicine will be sending out license renewal reminders to those Florida physicians whose medical licenses must be renewed by January 31, 2009. These reminders will come to you in a postcard format, therefore, please be careful not to overlook them. This will be the only reminder that the Board of Medicine will send to you!
If you are a physician who is required to renew your license in 2009, please do so at your earliest convenience. You can renew online or on paper, although you are strongly encouraged to renew online. The online process is quick and easy. YOU ONLY HAVE 15 DAYS TO MAKE THESE CHANGES OR YOU COULD BE FINED UP TO $1500 AND $100 PER DAY FOR THE TIME IT WAS TO BE UPDATED!
Go to http://ww2.doh.state.fl.us/mqaservices/flhealth_index.asp then click on Licensee/Provider.
From there you enter your password, etc., to update

Update your NPI information
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services encourages physicians to keep their National Provider Identification (NPI) record up to date. To do this, physicians should know and maintain their password which is used to change information in the NPI system, reset their password once a year and review their NPI record to make sure the information is accurate.
Visit the Web site (https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/NPPES/Welcome.do) to correct, add or delete information in your NPI record. User ID and password is required to log on to the site.
If you have forgotten your password, enter your user ID and click "reset password." Call (800) 465-3203 if you have questions or problems accessing the system.
